    Shane is a hairdresser and lives in Los Angeles, California, and mostly hangs out in West Hollywood.

    Backstory
    Shane was born in Austin, Texas. Her mother, who was a drug addict, put her into foster care when she was only nine years old. She never knew her father until she met him at the age of 26. Shane has known she was a lesbian since she was very young, remarking that her very first crush was when she was 8, on a girl she met in the playground. She dropped out of high school and was once a prostitute on Santa Monica Boulevard. She pretended to be a boy in order to service gay men, but would never go farther than to masturbate her johns. She later said that she could have been killed if one of them had found out she was female. She quit when one of her johns paid for her to get into hairdressing school. At one point, Shane was homeless for at least six months, and slept in her truck. Shane struggled with hard drugs once, and still slips back into using in times of depression. Shane is uninterested in relationships, and claims to have slept with between 950 and 1200 people.

    Personality
    Shane sometimes abuses hard drugs and is impulsive. She constantly falls back into self-destructive patterns, and self-medicates with sex and drugs. She has been extremely cautious of getting hurt in relationships throughout her life, and has a hard time communicating with her partners and family. Shane repeatedly destroys relationships when they are going well. When people get too close to her, she tends to push them away, but Shane is basically a caring person and is always there for her friends in times of crisis.

    Shane frequently gets in situations where other people use her for their own ends, sexual and otherwise.

    She is highly observant and sensitive to other people's feelings and needs; a very attentive listener and peacemaker. Shane is uncomfortable when people ask too many personal questions; has a great deal of trouble saying 'no' to people, even when she should; understands the concept of monogamy but has the tendency to feel stifled if not given adequate breathing room.

    As loyal as she is to her friendships, Shane's childhood spent in foster care has marked her as someone who doesn't want to get too attached. Self-reliant and with total nipple confidence (ha-ha), Shane prefers to sleep with a different woman every night of the week. With a background as a hustler and a history of drug addiction, Shane is an intensely private person who prefers to keep the details of her past to herself. But as opposed as she is to relationships, Shane secretly admires secure partnerships.

Shane is a sylph-like, punk rock-inspired tomboy. She has a deep smoky voice; a sort of throaty, unmannered drone, and a boyish swagger.
